Great outline with tuck up, great reach from front and rear because his conformation allows it. He can wade through mud, jump ditches and swim. He is an athletic dog shown in fit working condition. He has a good length of neck, correct ratio of head, his lips are thin not pendulous. Think of him pcking a bird, he can cleanly do his job without lips getting in the way, and he can reach out with his neck length or hold his head higher above the waves. His thick waterproof coat will keep him warm and dry. This is a working mainly wildfowling dog and all of these aspects are designed accordingly to help this dog to perform his job of work
